Staying in Chianciano means more than visiting a spa town.
It can be a voyage of discovery of places, people, a new
and different way of life, the customs, habits and fashions,
different rhythms, different priorities...
Observe. Relax and enjoy it. Try the shops. Taste some of
the local foods and produce that make the region famous.
In the restaurants choose a Chianina steak (the very best)
or the wild boar perhaps shot by the restaurant owner himself.
Life in Italy still keeps pace with the seasons and the
choice of food in restaurants will reflect this, especially
the fruit and vegetables. Local traditions and festivals
still celebrate the arrival of new olive oil, mushrooms,
wine, game and cheese.
Lakes, countryside, villages trapped in time, country lanes
and hill tracks, ancient stone walls and towers, Roman
history, ornamental gardens, churches, sculpture and art.
Sounds, silence, colour, the light can be crystal clear.
